    Destiny Pictures plans to launch Compact Films, a non-profit short film division that will support young and upcoming filmmakers in getting their projects from script to screen.

Compact Films will be looking for short film scripts that carry a message and have a positive impact on audiences. Compact Films will finance the filmmaker with a budget of up to $12,500 towards production of their film. The financing will be based on the story as well as the storyteller. Christine Redlin will oversee the Compact Films division along with co-producing some projects with Destiny Pictures.

    Christine currently resides in Beverly Hills, CA. Christines’ entertainment career began in her hometown of Chicago performing in musical theatre, commercials/voiceover work and she served on the board of Director’s for Women In Film/Chicago.

 

    Christine was the co-producer, marketing & promotion supervisor, music clearance supervisor and voice of “Sue”, for the 10-time award winning film documentary MY RUN – the Terry Hitchcock Story, narrated by Academy Award winner Billy Bob Thornton, which tells of one man’s journey to raise awareness for single parents everywhere after losing his wife to breast cancer and raising his three young children on his own. MY RUN received 10 Best Documentary awards including; the Audience Award for its world premiere at the Austin Film Festival, Outstanding Achievement In Documentary at the Newport Beach Film Festival, Outstanding Achievement In Documentary at the New York VisionFest and Grand Jury Prize Best Documentary at the Las Vegas Film Festival to name a few. MY RUN had its nationwide release March, 2011 in over 535 movie theaters, in the top 140 markets with over 50 million impressions.

    Christine produced the short film Legs – a dark comedy about the lengths that people will go to get “a break” in Hollywood. The film premiered at the Method Festival in Los Angeles, California. Legs also carries an important behind the scenes message – people are not disabled but able to have a full life. The lead actor is Dave Hall from the television series CSI is a double amputee. Well known theatre actor Lynn Manning who is blind, is also in the film. Richard Redlin (Christine’s brother), wrote, directed and acted in the film. Richard is paraplegic from an accident earlier in his life.

    Christine worked at WIN, LLC (a television/film production company), as a Production Executive overseeing 12 films a year.

 

    Christine worked in international distribution and sales at Nelson Entertainment in association with Castle Rock Entertainment (When Harry Met Sally, City Slickers etc.) Christine produced Voices of Tomorrow a weekly Telly award winning educational television show that continually airs in Los Angeles. Christine worked at The Walt Disney Company as a project supervisor in print production management.

 

    Christine produced Carol’s Eve, written by Drama Logue award winning playwright Pauline Le Por and starred Alicia Silverstone.

 

    Christine was an agent at The Janice Patterson Talent Agency (Janice was formerly with The William Morris agency in LA). Christine also worked in creative marketing for peermusic publishing on campaigns for Grammy award-winning composer David Foster.

In addition to her entertainment work, Christine has a passion for working with the under privileged and giving back.

    Christine worked for over 5 years, with Planet Hope – a charity for homeless families coming out of domestic violence situations co-founded by award winning actress Sharon Stone and her sister Kelly Stone. Christine served on the board of Amie Karen Children’s Cancer Research Fund at Cedar’s hospital in Los Angeles, CA and served on the board of Special Angel - a charity that uses the power of music to help troubled teens and

    Christine is currently Board Chair for Kids Are 1st a child safety ID & car seat installation program in Los Angeles, CA.  Christine enjoys producing creative projects that carry a positive message, yet entertain and have commercial viability.
